I completely agree. From their initial announcements as the directors of 8 and 9, I have always been excited about Rian and worried about Colin. Jurassic World was amusing, but it certainly didn't display much depth in storytelling or the intelligence I would like in the finale of a Star Wars trilogy. It was dumb fun, and I would like Star Wars to be more than that. People can complain of studio interference, but sometimes displaying quality control over a brand is not a bad thing, it certainly worked for Rogue One.
