This is another article showing black men get longer jail times for the same types of crime, in some cases it's double, pretty fucking crazy IMO.
Inner city crime is a tough one in general. I think the unimaginable horror inflicted upon the African American community in the past has created such a negative cycle that has devastated said communities and lead to continued pattern of drug use and kids that don't see any future for themselves feeling like resorting to crime.
I don't know if there's an easy answer.
