It's the same reason why they don't mention anything about antifa in general or about their recent actions.

From what little I know of the antifa movement, the hardcore ones seem like extremists who care nothing for the democratic process or rule of law; lumping them as "leftists" with Democrats etc. is almost as silly as saying Republicans are literally the KKK.  Or maybe I just misunderstood who-all you were meaning to encompass with the "leftist" term.

As for defending this?  Well, I do think there's not much to object to in the ad, although there is a reference to "mom and dad are a perfect team", which is probably in fact meant to mean "unlike gay couples" since the group in question seems to be pretty hardcore anti-gay, claiming that if gay rights pass in Australia the words "father", "husband", and "wife" might be banned [edit: never mind, that was some random stupid politician].  Mind you, this is based only on the link the OP cited since I knew nothing of this before the thread was posted.

Additionally, the organization that was being asked to put this up on TV didn't actually deny them the request, but asked them to mark the video with the name of their organization (or whatever "identification tag" means) due to the suspected political message.  They refused to attach their name to the clip.

Well they are the far left or alt-left but they are leftists because they are comprised entirely of socialists, communists, anarchasists, progressives and probably a few democrats. It's a political based movement that's violent against any people with right leaning politics. Anway, comparing antifa and the kkk in the political sense is silly.
