People are upset because they feel Switch should be getting an experience at par with X1 and PS4.

I think its certainly possible to get Frostbite on Switch and create a more feature complete version of Fifa 18 on Switch. That's based on the great ports of BF on 7th gen consoles.

Frankly, if I was a Fifa fan I would just buy it on X1 or PS4. But if all you have is Switch, PS3, or 360. Then settle with what you get, maybe wait for a price cut, or don't play it all. Its really that simple.

Frankly, Switch owners should be glad when they get significant 3rd party games. Because there isn't much happening at the moment.

I don't expect PS4 and Xbone level stuff.  I want a real, logical explanation.  As pointed out, the current version of Frostbite was designed with the PS360 in mind, it's highly unlikely they couldn't scale it back to a more powerful system with significantly more RAM and superior architecture.  And I don't buy this custom engine line.  I would bet money it's the same situation as the Creation Engine:  it's just a modified version of what they had before.  And to say they didn't want the Switch to have a poor man's version while making the Switch version feature stripped is just plain contemptuous that they think people are that ignorant.  I hope the game as it is is good, but this PR is BS, pure and simple.

Well here's a question, why haven't Fifa games used Frostbite on 7th gen? Doesen't that seem odd considering this engine is designed to work on 7th gen?

I think the reality is the Switch version they're going with was easier to produce and worked well with those specs. I mean this is a 60 fps/1080p Switch game. How would a Frostbite Fifa would handle on the Switch? We don't know because it wasn't even done on 7th gen.

If 60 fps is important to fans, then Frostbite might struggle to achieve that on Switch.
