Switch started way stronger than Wii U, without a doubt, but at the same time it's also living off of 2 Wii U games (Zelda and Mario Kart 8).
Also, "a successful crossover game with Ubisoft"?
Isn't that too early to say?
I'm happy how 2017 turned out for Switch/Nintendo. I'm less impressed that half of it's system sellers (Splatoon 2 and Mario, making up for the other half) are ports.
