What I've never understood is when women say they feel empowered by this film because it shows what women can really do if given an equal opportunity. I mean, anyone who is a demi-god could do what she does in this film. She has all these superpowers that make her able to do what she does. She didn't cross the battlefield because she was a woman, she crossed it because she is half god. I never feel empowered because Superman can move a planet. If anything it's characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye, who have no powers, that should make men and women alike feel empowered by what they can do when they see humans fight alongside gods.
