heh, no. Dynasty Warriors was the original, but warriors games have practically become their own genre now that there's so many of them (as well as similar games by rival companies). Samurai Warriors is its own series, based on Japanese history rather than Chinese. Orochi is a crossover between Dynasty and Samurai. Then of course there's the licensed games, some of which such as Gundam and One Piece have spawned multiple sequels of their own. I mean, this is a dev that releases like 5 or 6 new games a year, there's gonna be a lot of them |
Well, I knew there was a LOT of crossover games(like I think there's 3 or 4 One Piece games already?) but I thought it was just Dynasty, and then just crossovers. It's weird that they have "side-original" series haha. The fact that they have one for chinese and japanese history, and then a crossover for japanese and chinese history is just so clustered. I wonder if Orochi has way more combat than Dynasty and Samurai because of it?
