You are totally missing the point of this game. It's to make a shot ton of money for minimal costs with very little risk since it bears the monster hunter name. They could remake the whole game, but would that have a big enough effect on total sales to cover those costs. Or is it smarter to release a somewhat decent 3ds port on the Switch and work on the next MH for Switch after, while the former makes enough money to develop that game.

Oh I get that it works out fine for Capcom to do a low effort cash grab, I'm coming more from the point of view of a consumer who wants quality products. Capcom do far too much of this nowadays, pumping out poor quality software to make a quick buck.
