Well this wasn't built on Switch as the lead platform, in spite of that it looks fine on Switch. Its not like they're using the exact same visual assets from 3DS either. So upgrades visuals along with the polish makes it a nice looking game.

Look at it this way, nobody is arguing Uncharted Collection and Halo:MCC are the best looking 8th gen games. But the overall polish and 60 fps is pretty signficant versus their original 7th gen releases.

Another example, I'm playing Yakuza 0 and its evident PS3 was the lead platform. Yet it still looks great thanks to higher quality textures, AA, 1080p, and 60 fps. Its a very sharp presentation.

I understand the why of why it looks so dated, it's a port from a vastly weaker system. But that doesn't give it a free pass in my book. They shouldn't have even made this frankly, they should have either ported Monster Hunter World or made a ground-up Switch Monster Hunter instead.

You are totally missing the point of this game. It's to make a shot ton of money for minimal costs with very little risk since it bears the monster hunter name. They could remake the whole game, but would that have a big enough effect on total sales to cover those costs. Or is it smarter to release a somewhat decent 3ds port on the Switch and work on the next MH for Switch after, while the former makes enough money to develop that game.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
