ISIS has been losing a lot of power this year and last year. As a result of this, there are less organised attacks like in Paris and Brussels, but there are more lone wolves. They're ISIS supporters who are getting very desperate.
I suppose that the whole ISIS-related stuff will cool down after a while, and terrorist attacks will get less common. However, they will certainly not disappear.
