People keep saying this without thinking it through. The mobile market is significantly bigger than the Switch market, and the point of Pokemon GO is that all you have to do is pick up a small phone, go outside and play. How would lugging a big Switch around to play Pokemon Go be practical,easy, or convenient? The reason the Switch has been fairly successful as a handheld is because A) There is no other next gen handheld B) Handhelds are already bigger devices than phones and C) The Switch poses a great incentive to gamers who care about the quality of their experience.
A Pokemon GO app would have none of those benefits, and most people who would play GO on Switch probably already had it on phone anyways. Add to that the Switch doesn't have a camera, cell service, or a GPS.
