How do you judge a systems install base like the 3DS? It could have 25 million sales......but majority of them are people who boughy the 2DS, 3DS new 2ds and the new 3DS.....the XL versions

You just take the total. Can't do anything other than that.

I mean peopl ehave multiple PS3's. Or the PS2 insane sales that everyone likes to brag about. That system had lots of double dippers for the slim, and/or the horrible reliability and needing to buy a new one, ect.

Yes, but those are huge gaps. I mean saying basically 5% vs 25% or 10% vs 30% digital. I doubt the disparity is that huge between the two.

But I woudl say their "STRONGER" ccomment is in reference to expectations. The PS4 version is performing stronger than they expected, while the 3DS version is performing weaker than expected.

Regardless of who is beater who though, is the fact that at the moment they are talking about meeting their low end projections. So all in all, DQ11 is underperforming.

I don`t think those are that huge, not so sure about PS4 digital sales in Japan but I do remember that Splatoon on Wii U had an absolutely tiny digital percentage, I`d expect that preference for physical games on Nintendo consoles to carry over to 3DS as well so a very low 3DS digital ratio definitely seems possible to me.

If they`re talking in regards to expectations then... they`ve worded it very poorly indeed.

It`s not underperforming either, on target to meet the low end of their expectations still means it`s on target to meet expectations. It would only be underperforming if it was unable to meet expectations. Besides... SE are well known to expect insane sales figures for their games so...

My guess is this is just another Japanese tranlation that isnt' done correctly that is confusing everyone.
