That was their plan but looking at their expectation? The 3DS version is seriously lagging behind and they are expecting more while PS4 is above their expectation.
So far I won't call that a smart move because looking at the sales at the moment the fanbase is split between two version. As they have said so far its meeting their low end of their expectation.
It will all depend on the legs of both version especially 3DS because of the install base and the pending Switch version.
Good hold for PS4.
Awesome sales for Switch even though it was supply contraint.
Nice 3rd week for DQ XI hoping for legs.
