That's not necessarily relevant if the same people buy the same games. All EA is concerned about is whether or not the platform as a whole make porting games to the platform worthwhile. If a game as massive as FIFA doesn't sell well, then EA has little reason to suspect that other, less popular franchises will sell better. FIFA is easily EA's best shot at making good sales on the Switch.

I do think you are oversimplifying things here to be honest. EA needs to ask themselves what kind of gamers own a Switch, and what kind of games they buy. FIFA has never been big on Nintendo platforms or handhelds. I'm positive that The Sims, Need for Speed and Star Wars would resonate much better with the Switch's audience than FIFA.

I don't think I'm oversimplifying things at all actually. EA is very aware of what kind of gamers own a Switch and what games they buy. They pay research firms to find out just that information. You're positive that the Sims would sell better than FIFA on the Switch? Based on what exactly?

You're acting like you know more about the Switch and its userbase than EA does. Don't you think that's just a tad ridiculous?
