Largely subjective isn't it? I don't consider myself a weeabo, but I don't even care about the label to be honest.
Certain aspects of certain cultures are always going to be better, objectively, than others. Brazil, for example, has negatives that aren't in Japan, but that comparison can be made with any culture. Vice versa with Japan.
I love manga and Iike some anime. Some have amazing writing. I find some better than comics per say. A lot out there are terrible imo however. I feel like its a weird term, largely generated by the internet, that tries to force a fixation of pride in their culture without openly pointing out some things are better objectively in other players, and by those who are a bit too insecure about their own hobbies and want to go like, "at least I'm not like them."
