Except for the fact it only covers the first year launch aligned which I was never referring to. Might be funny otherwise.

Doesn't really matter how far you try move the goalposts, guy made your silly little argument look foolish and many people noticed it.

Take it on the chin and carry on.

I never moved the goalposts, he did. I initially referred to when PS4 was beating it launch aligned and people were acting like aligned didn't matter then. He moved the goals by posting a graph of just year 1 which i was never referring too. There's not much to take on the chin when people take your post out of context and ignore the point. Glad you all got a laugh though.

Where did i say only? I was giving examples of how the console would still be selling after so long. What's with people reading things out of context around here lately?

According to statistics bureau of Japan, there are 21 million japanese aged 0-20. If I divide that through 20, I get barely above a million kids which should reach the age to get a 3DS each year (regardless which age this is). Last year 3DS sold 2 million, this year already has nearly a million. So, even if the assume that EVERY SINGLE KID in Japan gets a 3DS, this amounts to only half the sales. And this assumption is highly doubtful, more likely every third to fifth kid gets a 3DS, meaning that the big majority of sales has to be explained differently.

LOL did you not just listen to what i said? He asked how could 3ds possibly be still selling. I gave him expamples of how it could still sell. I never said that's where all it's sales or even most of its sales come from. You are trying to assume i meant that so just stop because you're wasting your time taking my post for something it was never meant to be.

Now that i've told you for the second time what it meant, hopefully you now agree that i'm right and that sales do come from the reason i highlighted, which is kids now old enough to get a console that weren't years ago can get one. Another reason is people's older 3ds's breaking and buying a replacement which is cheap to do nowadays. Another reason is people just wanting to upgrade an old model to a newer one. That's 3 possibilities i provided him with. If you can think of others feel free to reply to him and contribute but don't bother trying to discredit my post because it only contains facts.

And now that i've thought about it again, i can add two another reasons. The entry price to the console is much cheaper meaning it could be affordable or just seen as value for money for consumers that seen it as too pricey in the past. Secondly thwe library is now much bigger then years gone by. So consumers might want to buy it for multiple games wheras in the past there might not have been enough titles on the platform to get them to make the purchase. Again loads of reasons and i just prov9ided him with a few. As i said stop trying to discredit my answer when it only contains facts.
