It is a Wii U game that was ported to the Switch, you even said that yourself - they delayed the original version to release it alongside a port they were working on.

Oh and lol about the Wii. That console was quite notably abandoned out of nowhere by Nintendo, it was getting all sorts of support until 2010 and then suddenly it just stopped, and Nintendo shifted all focus to the Wii U despite it not being even out yet, and ignoring their huge 100m userbase who still thought the Wii as a new-ish thing.

When there's another version that looks better and runs better I wouldn't really call it that.

That's expected of Nintendo at the end of their generations. But you know the support they showed the Wii is leagues above what they did for the Wii U. It was written off long before it's successor came out.
