the 2016 Ghostbusters is full of extremely superficial shallow humor. It's not clever, it's not deep, it's incredibly surface level

the original (not so much 2) has incredibly good dialogue, timing, and a level of restraint. I think the OG film is 100x funnier but frankly one of the biggest issues with the new Ghostbusters reboot isn't so much the specific humor, but the fact that it doesn't take itself seriously at all. the OG film is great because it's a blend of drama/horror/humor. There are some genuinely uneasy and creepy moments.
