What do you think Nintendo's 2018 killer app will be?

Nintendo has already denied this statement, both Metroid and Pokémon are likely not coming until 2019 or later.

As for next year, I assume they'll have both Smash and Animal Crossing coming out. Between them, I'd say Smash is more of a killer app.

I wouldn't underestimate Animal Crossing. It did sell 10+ million even before the 4 years later revision to include amiibo in the game (unless I'm wrong). Plus it's big in Japan, probably bigger than Smash there. New Leaf tends to keep popping in the Top 20-30 or so in the charts there even years after release.
