wow... talking about twisting facts to suit a narrative. Did you even read those articles? MS saying the PS4pro is "no competition" for the XB1X is not the same thing as saying its not in competition with the PS4. MS is trying to justify the price of their $500 "game console" by saying that its just all round much better hardware than the PS4pro and thats why it costs what it does. Nowhere does MS say the XB1X is not competing with other game consoles. And you are not saying the truth if you base it off the $500 price tag. I have cited multiple examples that you conveninetly ignored on "console" pricing that didn't suddenly exclude the consoles from competing with their nearest direct rival. Just in case you missed it... I will say it again. PS3 launched at $600 vs 360 at $400. They were competitors. PS4 launched at $400 vs XB1 at $500. They were competitors. PS4pro lauched at $400 vs XB1X at $500. They will be competitors. All of the above are all "game consoles". They are all competitors. With different prices and different "marketed" value propositions. I mean if thats the case I guess we could all say the PS3 wasnt competing with the 360 because the PS3 could play bluray movies. |
1. What exactly have I "twisted" or 'coveniently ignored'? I literally just showed you examples of Microsoft saying what I said after you tried to say I wouldn't be able to show any.
2. You're trying to talk about "twisting" things when you literally just did that. Microsoft said that the Xbox One X isn't in 'competition' with the PS4 Pro as in they didn't make it to compete with it. You're saying that they said the PS4 Pro is 'no competition' to the Xbox One X because of how much more powerful it is when that's not what they said or meant.
3. You ignored the entire point completely and are still going with the 'well they are both in the industry so they are immediately competing' and ignored what I said before, which is that just because they are both in the video game industry, and thus are wanting people to persuade people to buy their consoles, doesn't mean that it was MADE to compete with something else though.
4. My original post was the Xbox One X wasn't made to compete with them because that's not what Microsoft made it for, they made it because they wanted to offer a premium product to their consumers and the public, not to try and overtake the PS4 with it, which they said multiple times. You have yet to refute or show anything against that in any way thus far, especially since I just showed you plenty of articles where they did in fact say that.
5. I never said that the Xbox One X being $500 meant that it couldn't compete with anything(it wasn't made to). Now you are just trying to put words into my mouth. I said that the Xbox One X being $500 shows that Microsoft, even after saying it plenty of times now, did NOT make it to compete with the PS4 or PS4 Pro, so they were fine with pricing it at $500 since it's a premium item.
Also @ bolded: I seriously don't even know what this has to do with anything or what point you're trying to make. You're just stating random things. I never said it had anything to do with power or features of a console.
