The Xbox One X wasn't even made to be competing with any of them though(perhaps that could change in the future I guess?), which is why Microsoft was fine with pricing it at $500 since they said they know this is a product for people who really want extra for their money and that it's more of a high quality item for people who are willing to pay for the best that's available right now.

A lot of people seem to be trying to paint it as Microsoft trying to overtake the PS4 with the Xbox One X but Microsoft has literally said the opposite of that this entire time.

Its not?

If you really think the XB1X isn't competing with the PS4/PS4pro...... then you are worse than Patcher.

I doubt any sane thinking person would think that MS believe they can "overtake" the PS4 family of consoles this gen. No, that is ridiculous. But make no mistake, MS wants more of that market share than it has and at the very least would want to slow down just how quickly the PS4 keeps pulling away while also setting itself up for the next gen.

And the funniestthing about the whole extra for money, high quality, best there is right now argument? is that if those are the people really buying the XB1X, then wouldn't they just buy a PC? Especially being that all the games on the XB1X are also gonna be available on the PC.
