Ah the original, that's certainly worth playing. Still looks pretty good for a 15 year old game.
I'm currently playing Syberia 3 with my wife. It's not bad (although it runs terribly on ps4) yet it wasn't worth the 13 year wait since the second one. It's not the same game without Oscar as a companion. (Still hoping he will somehow be revived/rebuild at some point in the story)
