If you had played Devil Survivor instead, it probably would have been a way easier transition to SMT Mainline game, so i would suggest him to play SMT IV in that case.

P.S : SMT is nothing like EO, I wonder where he got that from ? O_O

Haha, ok then. If SMT is like either Devil Survivor or EO then I'm probably down for that game. The previous titles aren't necessary to enjoy the series right? Do the SMT games share more than just game mechanics (if even that), for example the lore?
