Zelda Breath of the Wild is the most obvious choice. It's a story-driven massive open world game and the highest rated game of the year so far.
For games with stories there's currently I Am Setsuna. Splatoon 2 has a good single player mode, but it's only around 6 hours. It sounds like Arms is not up your alley, since it is lacking in story content.
Fire Emblem Warriors looks like a must for any fan of the 3DS Fire Emblems, since it will have many of the same characters.
Xenoblade 2 is a major story-driven open world JRPR which is supposed to come out during the holiday season.
If you don't have it already Skyrim is a great choice.
