You shouldn't buy anything if you don't even know the name of it
Cryptocurrencies are *highly* speculative. You should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. There is a very real chance that you will lose all of your investment. Or, you could make a shitload. More likely, you're getting in at the top of a bubble, and will lose a lot in the medium term. Who the hell knows about the long term?
