Wait, these people literally through acid that can burn someones skin off onto people? I'm confused

Look at Aeolus' post below.

Life sentence or death is suitable in my opinion to the people who commit this kind of act because they're attacking someone with acid with the intention to permanently disfigure the victim because they were pretty or some other crazy insignificant reason. It's vile and intolerable behaviour that should be put a stop in any means. The victims often are disabled because they go blind or partially blind or can't do things with their hands. Acid attack wounds also very expensive to treat and they'll have to get repeated surgies to help with it. It's also in alot of ways a fate worse than death.

Taken from here. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/06/25/student-suffers-life-changing-burns-acid-attack-21st-birthday/

Even though they survive, chances are they'll be mocked in public and wake up every day knowing they won't ever be as attractive as they once were. They'll view themselves as 'not normal'.

If overweight people have confidence issues, then these people probably go through hell. The sick fiends committing these acts and those who tolerate it are all at the bottom of the morality chart. They're a burden to society.

Why not just a death sentence? I doubt we need sociopaths in our society.

Yeah, I am very much opposed to the death penalty because I think it can be abused to harm disadvantaged groups and there is always the chance that somebody is innocent, but it would be hard to argue against killing somebody who does something like this with solid (video or hundreds of witnesses) evidence of their guilt, ideally in a horrific way such as pouring acid on them.

I understand if you don't want to kill convicted rapists because some are actually innocent, but how can you explain this? Acid attackers literally destroy the victim(s)'s lives. Chances are they have a criminal history or are terrible people.

There is no excuse for trying to throw acid at someone. It's easy to prove and the damages are severe.
