I wouldn't say more personally, but as a  guy who only sometimes plays NBA games nowadays (played quite a bit of NBA Live 99 and 2000) I don't see a huge difference between 2K and Live. Yeah 2K has a story mode, but the writing and acting in 2k16 was just so hilariously bad and over the top that it barely matters.

Definitely can't see why one has a 30 points higher Metascore. They are not that far apart.

Well the 2K games are always graphically superior to the Live games and that goes back to the begining of the franchise on the Dreamcast.
