Instead of teaming up, MS could just sell the Xbox brand and it's IP's to Nintendo, of course, such a transaction would probably cost 10's of billions making it extremely unlikely, just as unlikely as any sort of team up between the two companies. But hey, it's a scenario that's fun to think about I suppose.
