In June they said its around 480 million so yeah its a lot higher than 348 million. PS2 had a good attach rate imo but i think the PS4 can hit 1.5b software.

June 11th 487 million software, 60.4 million hardware. Almost 500 million in 3.5 years. The next 3.5 years will see even bigger software sales due to install base growth. So 1 billion is in the bag even before the PS5 releases (assuming it releases 2020).

There's no reason to believe it won't do 1.5 billion when you consider PS consoles sell in the hundreds of millions in software even after their successors are released. PS3 must have sold a cool 250 million in software from the launch of the PS4 to now.
