My Brother works on Survivor & Big Brother. He likes the extra pay and his daughter getting a producer credit on the show but he will tell you it's manufactured drama. The people they cast they cast as an archetype. As mentioned the people and show and everything about them is manipulated. It's only every so slightly more real than WWE's on air drama. I never needed my brother to tell me that. It's just not hard to figure out when they all started to look suspiciously the same in tropes.
