Even for Europe, the UK market has had a very chilly reception to the Switch. Despite being a larger gaming market in absolute terms, the UK has only purchased 75% as many Switch units as Germany, and 66% as many as France. The Switch has done much worse in the UK in terms of both marketshare and as a proportion of the country's population. |
Switch is sold out, how much better is it supposed to do?
Looking at VGC numbers, France and Germany are getting 8-10k/week whereas the UK rarely goes over 5.5k. Either France/Germany are being rewarded for their WiiU/3DS support or UK is being punished. Switch will turn things around. I don't see Germany selling more Switch than UK when all's said and done.
