One of my friends happens to work in the cell phone industry and explained to me how the phone market works for buying parts, especially Apple (it was a fortuitous conversation because it wasn't even about the Switch shortages or anything). Apple overbuys their stock for phones, because overbuying is way better than underbuying. And when their main season is September (Cause that's when new iPhones launch) that's when they most overbuy for. Now they're not going to stop trying to buy this particular chip set once September has passed, however the amount that they'll need to order will be greatly diminished. So for the Holiday season Nintendo might be in better shape than we think. Assuming Apple lightens up on the amount of chips they're going to order. |
hopefully so!
Cuz as things are now there is no way they will be ready for the holidays since they aren't even close to meeting non-holiday demand. They need to have at least 4 million Switches available for nov/dec. And this doesn't seem likely.
