I also was bummed to see she wants Jon to "bend the knee." I don't want to see Jon yield power to anyone, even Dany! Hopefully word from Bran will get to them soon that Jon is in fact a Targaryen himself so that power dynamic will shift as he'll have a legitimate claim on the throne or at least give him more leverage.
In my perfect world - Dany defeats Cersei and takes the 6 kingdoms while Jon remains king in the North, independent of the crown (having the blood of the first men and being similar to Wildlings, being subservient is simply not in their nature, which is why I feel like they're destined to remain an independent kingdom). Maybe as a fun little bonus - have Gendry come back and rule the Stormlands to carry on the Baratheon legacy.. Though these outcomes might just be a little too perfect, and as we all know, things in GoT don't always go that well to say the least.

That could actually work against him. The northeners really didn't seem to like Targaryens when talking about Dany. There's no doubt going to be some dissent when people find out, especially with Sansa still around, questioning Jon's decisions, and in charge while he's away. Perhaps that's also why Bran hasn't sent word. Could end badly if the wrong people find out at the wrong time, probably safest to make sure Jon is told in person first.

But you also forget that the mother is Lyanna Stark. So, he's still a Stark.
