This is kind of why forum users need to keep track of themselves, myself included. We are not the majority for better or worse. I do remember my expectations for sales being lowered after the Presentation, although I always thought that the presentation wouldn't set the general audience off as much as people were making it out to be. In reality, I think most casual consumers didn't watch it, even with Nintendo's aggressive advertising for it. It just was too much of a commitment. That might have been for the better though. It allowed people to just pick up the console, buy zelda, and wait for the next big thing.

Yup. Also the Switch has great built-in viral marketing with its portability, the fact that it doesn't look like a fisher-price toy and ability to play local co-op on the go.
