In general, third parties do not matter as much for Nintendo Systems since the SNES. It has cost them though. Only Wii managed to win a generation since the SNES with it's then fresh motion controls and lower price. Switch launched with The 3rd or 4th best ranked game of all time on Metacritic. Also, the hybrid console/portable is fresh and new like Wii motion controls were. If Nintendo puts all of there releases into this year and jext, and the falls behind, they will likely need 3rd party support to fill in. I doubt they can keep up the first party pace at this speed for too long.
