Maybe it's because the former two are much mre hard rules, while the r/l thing depends on a case by case basis, especially with romanizations. 'Spratoon' needs to be Splatoon but 'Maria' (in most cases) needs to be 'Maria'.

If only Google had some kind of search engine to determine which version of the word is more likely.
