This is a symptom. The disease is the electoral system.
The US needs to be democratic, the person with the most votes should win and there should be more parties.
The electoral system worked 200 years ago when information couldn't travel fast. It's no longer the world we live in. It's ridiculous the devotion given to the founding fathers like they could predict what the world would be like 200 years down the line. Of course they didn't. It's time to fix it and get into the modern ages alongside the rest of the modern democracies.
Of course then you have corruption because the established power will resist change.
