The theard is about the Japanese CONSOLE MARKET. Not software, not world wide sales... consoles... in Japan. Switch is getting Japan back into the home console market because it allows them to take it on the go as well. That's the entire point of the thread.

No, it's not. It's about an article which talks about the big 3 and which ones are revitalizing the market as a whole ( a specific market wasn't mentioned so it's a given that is was talking about the whole). Also, it could seen as software is included in this because koei tecmo is a 3rd party dev/pub talking about doing well and supporting the consoles. You didn't create the thread so stow it.
