When KT says this they mean their games sell a shit ton more this gen compared to last gen and not just in Japan. They're a lot bigger in the West now, and Asia. Games like AoT, all those Musou games, Nioh, DOA, Berserk, their rpg studio, they even brought back their RTS games.

You know... while I absolutely love my ps4 and Switch as consoles it has to be said that they wouldn't look quite as impressive in their own rights if it wasn't for the VHS sized ugly duckly which MS kicked out onto the market this gen trailing Kinect and unwanted TV apps behind it.

It's just like being in a bar and there is a semi nice looking guy/girl... but they're standing next to a monster, makes them look like an instant 10, that's what MS has done this gen for Nintendo and Sony, it has become the other consoles fat friend.

I hope this comparison doesn't cause upset as it sounds rather harsh, I'm just trying to put things in context here and it does sound like a dig at the X1, but it's not just that... I'm saying that the PS4 on its own isn't the most amazing piece of kit that it could have been, it does feature some great specs but as games like Assassins Creed Unity have shown it is heavily lacking in the CPU department to handle "next gen" AI in comparison to what the CELL could allow in games last generation,

That comparison sucks. PS4 is a 8 or 9 for its incredible lineup, not his problem MS is a 2.

"I'm saying that the PS4 on its own isn't the most amazing piece of kit that it could have been"

For the price you did get the best available, there was no gimmick bundled, I too wanted $499 PS4 with a HD7950 and beefier cpu, but it probbaly wouldn't have sold as good.

Besides, current gen games look great. ACU isn't a benchmark, games like GoW, Horizon, Death Stranding etc are what its capable of, not some 3rd party game.

It's not just hardware where the system falls down in ways though, it's the first Playstation system to not be able to play PSone games (and I mean all of them, even the psp/vita at least had them on the store) Lacking in PS2 BC as well for no real hardware reason.

It's also missing the ability to pair with blue tooth headsets for audio out (if I want to use my pair with the system I have to remote play the Vita to the ps4 and then connect the headset to the vita).

Controllers lacking ability to turn off that light to preserve battery should be a non issue, even as an LED it's still a waste of power which is not needed.

PSVR setup and cabling is as bad if not worse than Switch voice app cabling.

It can't play or transfer music to the system, you can now have it on a usb stick but no ability to transfer it over to the HDD like you could with the ps3

See a lot of the above issues are nothing to do with hardware, they're just issues I have with the system in the way that Sony have allowed the gamers to use it. I completely agree that for €299 (I think was what I paid) the amount of power in the box is insane, coupled with 8gb GDDR5 is something that you would be hard pressed to construct a PC at that price nevermind one which had any sort of graphics power similar to that.

Games library is fantastic, tons of great indies and AAA's just love the beast because of the install base, it is missing some classics, like I said, the lack of ps1 and 2 games on the system as a long time fan means I still have to keep my day 1 ps3 set up for full playstation library support (not that I don't love that phat beast anyway)

But yeah, it aint the perfect 10 is all I'm saying, but for the price it's hard to fault it unless you want to get nitpicky

........

Dear jesus the pack in headset is terrible :D had to say it!
