How are you / am I  being ripped off? Battery life alone makes the price difference (~$10) worth it. I literally never have to play while plugged, never have to turn off LEDs, never have to turn off rumble or any other features.

Yes, you can find the older console's controllers for as low as about $40 sometimes. But the fact is, the retail price is only $10 difference for a controller that above all has a massively better battery. The only person getting ripped off is Xbox One buyers, including myself x4.

I don't need all that bullshit. Just working buttons and analog. Also Splatoon one is 75. You can regulary get PS4 controllers for 40 bucks shipped on amazon. NS Pro controllers are so rarely released you can never get them at retail anyway. People scalping them up to 130 bucks. The Switch the console hard to keep demand fine. But controllers? Fuck off Nintendo. They been selling consoles for 34 years. They should know to keep the most basic thing like controllers in steady supply.

1. Battery life is not bullshit. 8hrs at best to 40hrs is a monsterous difference. Easily worth $20 or more, especailly if your comparison is to buying batteries for Xbox controllers where over lifetime you'll spend WAY more than that. Even if you go with rechargeables.

2. I turn off rumble, don't buy amiibo and wouldn't use the touch pad. So all that can go.

3. Motion control is great. Aiming in Zelda, Splatoon are very simple examples of why. Plus the other gameplay functionality it allows (also see Zelda) is awesome.

4. Demand / Supply... I've found them in-stock for couple months now. At least the regular pro controller. I would expect that on opening weekend the special edition would be sold out. Your rant here is really just nonsense. Amazon Best Buy Gamestop ... all in stock.
