No, it's not. Europe is already Nintendo's weakest market overall, and the system has significantly less sales. The game only having 1 or 2 days is just the cherry on top. You're acting like that's the only point against Splatoon but it isn't. Also, that is not "the normal" amount of time for a game. Most games launch on a Tuesday, giving them 5 days. Splatoon launched on Friday and had till Saturday to beat Crash. I'm not trying to dethrone Crash's accomplishment, i'm glad that Crash is doing well. Maybe we will see a golden age for contemporary PS platformers due to the remake. But I also think people going over SplatoonDoom are being overdramatic, and I don't think the 2 days argument is anything to scoff at when you consider the context.
Also, sorry, I was a bit confused if the sales were as of 22nd or reported on the 22nd, either way doesn't change much tbh.

Almost all games in the UK launch on Friday like any other game... This is brought up in these threads too many times to count.
Tuesday is the typical US launch. I think JP games launch on Saturdays usually, but not too sure on that one.

Yeah that's weird. I just noticed that. I wonder why that is?
That wasn't really one of my points since Crash obviously launched before tuesday, so it wouldn't have mattered anyways, but my bad. I guess my correction was wrong. I don't get why the releases would work that way.
