So Crash in its 3. week sold more than it did last week (stock issues).

Splatoon 2 has 59% higher debut than Splatoon 1, its sold around 28k.

So at end:

01 (03) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 29,000
02 (NE) SPLATOON 2 (NINTENDO) - 28,000

So prety strong debut for Splatoon 2.

I feel like it'd be more accurate to describe it as "less bad than previously" rather than "pretty strong". There's no doubt Splatoon 2 will do well globally, but the UK currently seems to be fairly apathetic to the IP.

Not only that Splatoon 2 was launched on smaller instal base, but its for 1/3 of price more expensive than Splatoon 1. Aslos, you need to consider current very limited instal base of Switch in UK, Switch instal base in UK is maybe around 200k, Splatoon 2 sold around 28k in first week, that means that around 15% Switch owners bought game in its 1st week. Yes, sales will be better on other markests, but this sales in UK are good in any case.
