The biggest problem though is that Microsoft has by far the least interesting and compelling exclusives and I am not the only one who thinks go look at reviews and sales numbers of Microsoft games compared to their competitio. These days games made by Microsoft are no where near the quality of the 360 era.

Fully agree with this. XBO is the only Xbox xonsole I don't own and have no desire to buy one. Just nothing compelling enough. The game I wanted most was Japan only expensive and now it's on PS4 next month cheaper and comes with the OST CD.  I'd like KI but I have enough fighting games on PS4 where I am ok. Rare replay. I'd like to play those games in HD but I have those games still and not spending 300 bucks to replay 20 year old games I already have.

360 didn't do great in Japan but still got plenty of Japanese support. Shame XBO could not replicate that.

Microsoft was more cut throat back then before Spencer. They rushed the production of the 360 causing RROD but despite that risk managed to get as many third party exclusives as possible. They knew the way to cut Sony down a peg was to take their third party exclusives from them. They capitalized on Sonys mistakes and this opened up the door to Japan (with one million sold in Japan), because they essentially made themselves a mirror image of what the expected Playstation 3. It was smart of them to secure an exclusive with Sakaguchi, knowing his relationship with Sony. MS also relied on the exclusivity of some PC games. Man,,,,If Sony wouldve held onto the exclusivity of Mass Effect, last gen wouldve been so different for them. They shouldve bought Bioware. Hands down...that is their biggest mistake of last gen..
