I found the trailer to be a bit dull.
I have no emotional attachment to these people, so seeing them trade quips has very little impact and I feel it'd get tiring pretty fast.
Might not be as bad as BvS, MoS or Suicide Squad, but doesn't look good.

They're definitely doing it wrong by rushing to a team up film like this without proper introductions for any of the characters, it's as you say, we don't know these people (We know the characters from comics, but I mean in this cinematic universe) so there's not really any attachment. Either way I still think it'll be fun to watch though...

Different approach than what they did in the MCU, here it's clear a lot has already happened in the world and rather than go through a series of movies introducing everyone the approach here is that a tipping point has forced their hands with no choice so the team up is going to be their introductions so the following films can just get on with it and add some back story here and there to flesh out the character development.

Reason being is that the team up movies generate more interest and awareness for characters much like CW did for Black Panther and no doubt more people will have an interest in the BP movie now than if his movie was released before any team up despite him only having a brief introduction in CW. The's also the case that here even if someone doesn't see all the following individual movies they're at least going to be aware of the characters to follow what's happening unlike in the MCU where missing a few movies can leave some viewers a bit lost on what's occuring.
