It should be noted that Zack Snyder did not direct or write Suicide Squad. He did on the other hand, write Wonder Woman, which has been received well.
Also, Batman vs Superman had an average/mediocre theatrical edition, whereas the ultimate cut was actually good (keyword: good. It wasn't amazing which was/is unfortunate). The theatrical cut created many plotholes and pacing issues that were resolved in the ultimate cut.
