ok so you didn't answer the question, regardless the point I'm making is that STD, and Axanar is telling a story based on past events before Kirk. Both are being called JJ'ish/Star Wars'ish, and no matter what side people may be on, they're missing the bigger picture here; it is a period of Star Trek bloodiest past, and as a fan I can't wait to see them.
We don't know how the diplomacy, thought provoking, and the politics is like in STD yet, please look forward to it ™
