I agree with when the new smash comes out, but why would they make a completely new smash? The Wii U version is a wonderful base to bundle together assets. I predict that Switch Smash is going to be the definitive version of Smash Brothers. They will bundle updated resolution versions of all features, stages, and play modes from other versions. There may be a new single player mode and a few new characters or promise of new ones later.

Because fighting games no matter how good can always opt for a different approach the next game like SFIII to SFIV, I'm pretty sure if Smash 4 was going to be ported to Switch it would have already happened or at least been announced by now.

You do want to consider pacing for releases and the timing of ARMS though.  Nintendo wouldn't have risked Smash overshadowing ARMS this year as the Switch fighter.  Also Switch is going to need more assistance next year to keep the hype going.  They will likely have a Smash deluxe next year around the same time that they had Mario Kart Deluxe but with a lot more additions added during development this year, which is why I think we will get what I suggested.
