Galaxy sits near the top of many lists. But, I was never able to get into it, or the sequel. I find that strange, as I've loved essentially every other Mario Bros platformer. I often wonder if it was the game, or if it was just that I wasn't gaming very much around that time. If BotW, or Halo: CE, or Witcher 3 launched then, would I have liked them? I'll never know.
