It lost that when the Xbox came along with Halo, Half Life 2, Doom 3, Riddick, FarCry and more. Can't keep clinging to the N64 past. ;)

Oh yeah it certainly did, GameCube was pretty decent for 1st person shooter too though, but for me, I went to the dark side when GTA3 was announced for ps2 ( and Max payne). I think closest I've come to enjoying 1st person multiplayer though like Goldeney,perfect dark, Turok2 etc was 1st time I played COD MW2 online on 360. Was blown away. ( I missed COD4, played it after MW2).
