PC - 8k Anyone? - View Post

4K HDR @ 75" in the main room

4K @ 49" in the bed room

4K @ 43" in the office

Running a PS4 Pro in the main room. The other two only have base model PS4's. Planning to get a 7100 Pro this year for the main room, and bumping the OG Pro to the Office.

I am pretty happy with 4K at the moment. Still a really long way to go before we get solid support from all content creators and sources.

8K is something that I am looking forward to. I think it will be the last resolution that can bring me benefits in my current house. I can't go any bigger than 120", and I think 8K will handle that size without issue.

On a side note, I think HDR is much more important on traditional displays at this point that resolution. Producing a more acurate image is key to better TVs now. Where resolution is extreamly important is VR, current VR does not even fill our FOV, and even these limited sized displays show just how limited a 2MP display really is. With that said, I am extreamly excited for 8K/16K/32K in the VR space, because it is going to make a massive difference.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
